Microsoft Surface Pro

Anyone using a Surface Pro? I’ve been holding back, but might have to jump in now… I read exciting news today!

http://www.wacom.com/feeldriver

Wacom has released a driver that enables pen pressure in Photoshop, zbrush, etc.!

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfpro-surfusingpro/surface-pro-pen-pressure-sensitivity-is-not/72f34b0e-e931-4fa0-8322-5f3933b061f6?page=34&tm=1365620974184

I still might wait till next gen, Haswell processor, but I’d love to hear people’s experiences.

looks like a lot of people are having problems getting it to work.

It took them long enough.

BTW, the digitizer in the Pro is the same one in the Galaxy Note 2, you can use the pens interchangably, which might be a bonus if you want a smaller pen.

I installed it this morning, haven’t tried the software yet as I am re-installing. I will probably toss up a video if it goes as planned and share with you folk, been eager to use it for sculpts and 2d animation on the go.

Please post hardware related threads in the Hardware forum, not General Discussions.

I’d have never seen it there…

That said, I tested it with zBrush and Sculptris successfully. Gimp didn’t recognize it though.

Photoshop CS6 is working splendidly now, full pen support, no gesture yet though from what I roamed that is just on mac side and cintiq. I guess Wacom doesn’t want to push out drivers with full gesture support to all platforms in order to keep customers drawn to the cintiq? Who knows though maybe that will be the cherry on top if I can move my canvas with flicks of my fingers while I draw

There’s a thread of exactly the same title only two threads up at the time I’m posting in this.
Locking this down, please move your posting about the MSSP there.
Andrew, especially you since you seem to have been actually playing with one! Please
