Mesh too close for sculpting?

Hey all

I’m having a problem with using any of the sculpt tools on my models. For some reason I’m unable to sculpt when the camera is close to the model. Even in the same stroke, I can begin sculpting on parts of the mesh away from the camera, however when I drag it to an area which is close to the camera, it stops sculpting. This is making it really difficult to use mudbox because I can’t get up close to the mesh to sculpt onto it.

I’ve tried it on different detail levels, different sizes, different strengths and different sculpt tools - all of which have the exact same response.

Is there an option or value that controls the distance the camera must be from the model to allow for scuplting?

how big is your model compared to the mudbox base head…?
mudbox is size independet…

I just had a quick look, turns out it was tiny, I had to scale it up quite a bit. Once I got it to the size of the default head, it seemed to work fine. Thanks for the suggestion!
