So basically I used this guy’s tutorial for a skin shader and it didn’t really look right but that’s not my issue at the moment. So it was rending fine and I decided to use subdivision approximation on the object and add my displacement maps to the shader for the specific object. Unfortunately now the object will not render mental ray at all but it renders maya shaders just fine (the object is invisible in mental ray renders). Other objects will render mental ray fine. I have no idea what I did to make this happen.
I also tried reimporting the object from an older scene and it will still not render mental ray. :shrug:
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
