For more fun and fellowship, please join us after the meeting for dinner/coffee/desert/whatever at the nearby Applebee’s Restaurant.
Note that our regular meeting day for May falls on the Memorial Day holiday, so we will meet on Tuesday (the next day) instead of our normal Monday.
For this meeting we will have 3 different topics:
- Luxology has officially announced modo 301 and we will show a shortened version of Brad’s introduction video. We will also have some discussion of the new features in modo 301.

- Basic fuselages are due for our Aerospace Collection group project. Members who have started their projects will show their progress and discuss and/or demonstrate some of what they have learned so far.
If you have screen shots or other content files for your project that you have not already sent, please send them in an email so they can be included in the presentation slideshow.
Of the 8 main ships we want to build, 6 are committed, but there are 2 main ships, 12 secondary ships and over 50 others still available. Some are very simple and some are more complex. A few are so simple they could be modeled in one afternoon - so anyone can do this - even using the free trial of modo 203 with very beginning 3D skills and/or very limited time invested. A FREE group shirt goes to the first 6 members who start one of these projects and completes it by July 16, 2007! Please send an email if you would like to build one of these models to be included in the presentation at our special event.
And don’t forget to post your progress on your project in the Luxology modo Work In Progress (WIP) forum.
- Following the Aerospace Collection progress presentation, we will have an open question and answer (Q&A) session where fellow members can discuss and demonstrate how to do specific tasks using modo 203. So bring your questions and hopefully we will have answers or at least advice on where to look.
Hope to see you all there!
