Maya windows will not show

Hey all.

So, so I am new to maya and these forums but I am having an issue. I just installed Maya 2013 Educational Version and v-ray on windows 7 - 64bit. For some reason most all of the menus won’t open open. I can’t get my outliner, the render settings, hypershade, render view, etc. to open. I click on the buttons to bring them up and nothing happens.

I restarted my computer, I’ve re-installed twice now but to no avail.
I couldn’t find any solutions searching for it so hopefully someone here can help me out.

have you recently switched between dual displays and single display ? Maya has a stupid bug that sometimes places windows out of your screen real estate.

Do any messages pop up when you click on the menus for the outliner ? What about the button on the left bar?
