Maya to UDk rig HELP!

#1

I’m very new to udk and want to use it to make a short animation instead of Maya. So basically I try to import my rigged mesh from Maya that has it’s eyes, and sort of pincers/horns parented to the body: http://www.mediafire.com/?98d0npmfc596a6w to UDK, but what I get when I import it into UDK is the body without the parented objects (eyes & horns) http://www.mediafire.com/?60vla57aqqzf43f . How do I get the other objects into UDK?!

Cheers guys!

Depends, I didnt open the file so I wouldnt know, but did you use constraints? If you did then you should know that constraints dont transfer through packages. You’d have to bake them out. So this could of happen if you did a parent constraint or orient.

thanks a lot that’s exactly what I did! Only problem now is that I don’t know how to bake out parent constraints and have been looking around for a bit over an hour and can’t find much. Exactly how would I do that??! D:

Edit: DID IT!

I just selected the eyes and baked their simulations, unparented, unlocked their translation and rotation, then just moved them back into place. Thanks so much!
