Maya Security Tools

I have a good friend of mine who is a freelancer. Unfortunately he uses a “special” version of Maya he found on the internet. I told him he should scan his files for malware using the official “Security Tools for Autodesk Maya”, because it’s the only thing that works. But he is worried that using this tool will detect his “special” license. Is he safe to use the security tool? Anyone have any experience with this?

Not the best place to ask this. Sounds like he is using “cracked” software, which is actually illegal. He’s better off getting a proper license. If he doesn’t like the cost or licensing (I don’t blame him) he should find another software. Blender is free…
