Maya Modeling - Border Edges Cannot be Deleted

Heya,

I’m new to modeling in Maya, I am currently modeling a male biped. I have a problem with this edge on the side of the neck. It seems to have some kind of pinching going on either side, I don’t know why. I cant select the entire loop around the neck, and when I try to delete this edge, I get an error saying “Border edges cannot be deleted”. I’ve checked the normals and they all are facing the same way. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :slight_smile:

delete one of the faces and use the fill hole tool to create a new one…
there are two edges but not welded…
