hi everybody…
i’m currently rigging a quadrupede, and i’ve got many questions about it…
first, i hope i’m posting in the right place, if not, please accept my apologies =(
Anyway, my first trouble is about the maya mirror skin… When i use it, everything (actually, almost everything… this will be my second question^^) seems to work fine… but when i look at my component editor, my left vertex and my right vertex (whatever which vertex i select) have completely different values… Is it normal, or did i miss something ?
And my second question, again about mirroring… I’ve got two bunks joints, each controlling an eyelid (you can see it here, i hope it’ll be easier to understand !). When i want to mirror them, nothing happens… i’ve also tried using labels on my joints and mirroring with labels, but it doesn’t work anymore (it does something different, but not what i want). Here is a pic to explain
(i hope it’s clear enough, but do not hesitate to ask for more details if you don’t understand, of course !)
So as you might guess, my question is… how can i do a precise mirror on my eyelid skinning ?
and finally, my last question ! I’d like to use the script cgTkShapeBuilder to create my corrective blendshapes… It works great on simple scenes, but no way for me to use it in my scene… it returns me that error message :" Error: No object matches name: .usedBy[0]"
Does anywone is familiar with this script and/or mel scripting and could tell me what is wrong ? (i don’t know if it’s important, but my modeling is a reference). I’ve done many searchs on the holy internet, but found nothing, and my mel knowledges are more than limited =(
