Maya Mental Ray Pink Textures

#1

Hi everyone! I’m new here and so as to Maya software and I was hoping somebody could help me with a very frustrating problem:

I was modeling a gundam and I have this habit of test-rendering every once in a while to see my progress. Anyway, everything was going okay until I got to work with the lower body. When I rendered the scene, it all suddenly turned all pink.

Here’s the image:

I was using mental ray and I use the basic 3-point lighting. I only adjusted the cone and penumbra angles of the spotlights and left almost everything in default setting.

On render setting, I turned on final gathering, photon emmition, importons and caustics.

I’ve tried almost everything and sometimes the pink stuff goes out, but when I change the angle it goes back in. Please help, I’m running out of options. :frowning:

Thank you very much.

This could be many things, including renderlayers gone amuck.
The Maya scene would be most helpful in figuring out the problem.
Attach a zip of your Maya scene if you can.

I’d turn off importons, photons, and caustics. They appear unnecessary here. Do you need caustics for something specific in this image?
