I’m trying to set up a scene that is going to have multiple characters and some background characters.
I’ve been looking for any references on how you would go about doing this and while Digital Tutors is great for the a lot of stuff they and no where else I’ve looked have any tutorials on multi-character scenes or scenes with background “extras”. Just animating one character.
So my question is how do any of you accomplish this in Maya? Do you have a main scene and just import characters into it? Animate them before adding them to the scene or while they are in the scene. (ie: character walking down an alley. Do you animate the walk in a blank scene and then transport the character to the alley scene or do the walking animation in the alley itself?)
