maya 2018.4 ???

i got my two bugs fixed from maya 2018.2 to 2018.3
the maya team does fix now much faster than in the past.

Tried 2018.4 and experienced really annoying crashes very often. Like with so simple acts; selecting, translating, camera etc. I went back to 2018.3 immediately which I’ve probably never got a fatal error or similar crashes. I think 2018.3 is the most stable version for now, at least for me.

i also had some issues with the .4 and the issue is coming from the render layer system, if you are still on the old one.
If you revert to the new one things will work as expected
