Maya 2017 - FBX imports are always triangulate

Hi,

I have a lot of props with quad mesh but when I import these FBXs in maya, they are always in triangulate mesh and I don’t know why.

My only chance to get a quad mesh is the workflow to open the FBX props in Max and then export them to OBJ.

Inside the FBX import dialog I can’t find any options about quad and triangulates.

Perhaps someone has an idea how I can open FBX files in Maya with the original quad mesh.

I’ve never seen Maya triangulate on import. Max triangulates on export unless you jump hoops, though (adding edit poly or something similar to every mesh)…

I tried it again with an another object and now it works. I guess the object wasn’t correct and thats why Max triangulate it by export.
