Allo Sebastien!

Nice to see you here, and thanks for your purchase! There’s some really nice details here, but at first glance, it was hard to tell if it’s a night shot, or a sunset shot, as the environment is really black and dark, and there is a nice sun setting in the horizon.

Take a look at this photo reference:

There’s lots of color left in the sky, the shadows, and just the environment in general. It has a similar sunset time of day like yours. Also take a look at this one:

I think that’s the major issue right now, try to fix your lighting first, and we can move on to some of the other details. In general the FG left structure is nice, just the atmosphere seems a little too white too and needs some color/brightness balance to fit it more into the environment. But that’s also dependent on lighting, so I’d tackle that first. It’s looking really cool Sebastien!

Thanks a lot David, I totally see what you mean and should fix that very quickly. Indeed my horizon sunset needs more sunset colors, with more blue and various color palette. So no problem at all.
As regards the foreground atmo, it’s true. I will color correct it quickly as well accordingly.

Glad you like my front structure on the left, I think there are plenty of cool things to do with it later on. Any suggestion are most welcome of course!!

So first will edit the artwork with your feedbacks.

Cheers! It’s awesome to be here!

I agree with David and think :wise: that the main disconnection is happening between the mountains and the space station because the building is not receiving any of that warm sunlight

Thank U Seema, this is true about the building. I’ll pay attention to this as well when I edit the artwork. Cheers for your remarks, that’s really appreciated!

Here is an update guys as per your previous crits, hope it’s better now. Let me know your comments and what could be the next step or suggestions? Thanks so much!!

Hio Sebastien,

The sky and colors look way better! Still, in the left side of the mountains, it’s too dark and black, where it could receive more of the blue environment haze and color. The bottom right is looking a little too green though, as it should be a little more blue. Catching some warma light on the bottom right would be interesting too.

For the left side structure, it seems like it could catch much more of the rim lighting from the sun, as it’s really high and would catch a lot of the lighting on it…that would cause long shadows to the left from the stairs onto the wall, and the little lights on the building wouldn’t really be visible too much because the sun’s key light would overpower it. You can even have some of the light catch the ledge near the structure there on the snow, and that would cast a nice shadow onto the structure, keeping the bottom left in shadow.

Also, directly under the sun on the water, it looks a little strange in perspective, and has weird repeating patterns that go towards the horizon.

Thanks so much for this in-depth feedback David. I will edit my lighting and see what I can come up with.
