Material issue while rendering

Hi Guys, can someone help me with this issue I have?

The model is quad modelled, using a motion path and lattice to bend the strap…
I haven’t deleted its construction history currently as I don’t think it will make a difference?

I have a simple Blinn shader on it strap currently with a leather node plugged into the colour.
I have a separate light linking setup for my leather strap using 2 area lights.

Any idea what the bloody hells happening? ahah… I’ve checked my UV’s there all fine too. Thanks muchly!

based off the image, maybe you have some messed up normals? try reversing them and see if that works (the areas in black).

Maybe a bad normal map?

no not normal map. lol
