matchmover wont solve

#1

hey there,
i post here, since there is no paticular matchmover-forum here. hope you dont mind.

as you can see here:

… i got a scene with nine trackingpoints which all cover all the 585 frames of the clip and are tracked about 60% green. the rest yellow, no red. all the tracking points are grouped as “rigid motion”.

but still matchmover wont solve the points for the camera.
does anyone have an idea, why?

tyvm!

found out for myself: in order to motion-track (oppose to matchmoving), matchmover requires two pov’s to calculate the movement. means that you have to film your stuff with two cameras at the same time.

but since my camera is fixed and it is realy just the flask i need to track, i told machmover that my points are fixed and that the camera is moving freely. so now i got the relation between camera and flask. “only” need to “retranslate” the movement in maya so that the cam is still but the flask moving.

but i wonder why there is this limitation in mm. especially when it is obviously possible to track motion with just one camera. as long as the moving object is rigid anyway…

thx
