which markers do you use ? (if any). im on the look out for rendering markers for architectual and transport design projects. i cant really afford tria or copic at the moment so im especialy looking out for mid range brands. if you have any comments on tria/copc though please to contribute.

Prismacolor is pretty good. But its the same price as copic markers anyway.
There isnt really much to choose from. Maybe some of those sharpies. Theyre pretty cheap but not a lot of color choices.
I got a couple of sets of Prismacolor Cool Grey 12 marker boxes from Ebay a few years ago, for at least 50% of the retail price.

I’ve been using mainly Tria, and Prismacolor markers for the past few years, since my growing up and moving on from the ever present Crayola markers of my childhood years. I’ve tried Copics after reading a great deal of anime afficionados claiming they were the thing, only to find it was all just hype. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the final result they gave my work and given their price a few years ago choose to go with domestic brands, rather then imports. No offense, but I avoid ebay like the black death, but I’ve never found prismacolor, or tria markers to be particularly expensive. As such, I’ve stuck with a mix of Tria and Prismacolor markers for my art work. I did pick up some of those new Crayola Colorwave markers a few days ago out of curiosity and nostalgia to see what those’ll do for me, but I’ve yet to use them.
