I imported a .obj into zbrush.
The situation…
-
The model is of a human head from the shoulders up, the model is fully enclosed.
-
The eyes are in place. In maya they are separate from the mesh.
Now when I imported it into zbrush, everything looks fine. The problem I’m facing is, I would like to make the eyes into separate tools. Being new at this, I cannot seem to access the surfaces for selection. (nor am I even aware if the rest of the (surfacing exists inside the model cause this is all new to me.)
I’m still learning the terminology for zbrush and so far I’ve looked into the extract method for creating sub tools, but this doesn’t seem to be what I’m looking for. What I want is to separate those eye balls so I can move onto UV mapping with my video tutorials.
I’m sure you guys answered this one a million times, but forgive me, for I don’t know the term for the correct approach yet.
Thanks for reading. I haven’t made a post here for years. I have a funny feeling it’s time for me to come home to CGTalk.
