A car studio ? What do you exactly mean ?

But coding an openGL ( or direct graphics ) framework and a 3ds file parser and renderer isn’t that difficult.
look here: www.gametutorials.com -> Tutorials -> OpenGL -> Page 3 ( as far as i know )

and at topic “reflections” look for:

( Bump Mapping for the street… )

  • Dynamic Environmental Bump Mapping
  • stencil reflections with bump mapping

and car reflections:

  • simple stencil reflections, or env mapping

thanks for the url man, don’t seems quite difficult, but don’t seems easy too :frowning:

i’ll try :wink:

I don’t know if this could help but if you are on PC and do not mind using DirectX, maybe you could have a look at Quest3D. :thumbsup:

Here is their demo page which contains a few example which I think you will find pretty interesting.

http://www.quest3d.com/index.php?id=15

Just have a look at the “Sports car screen saver” (6th down).
The source of this screen saver is actually available in all versions of Q3D including the Demo Edition and should give you a head start with your project.:slight_smile:

Hope this help!!
