Well what I did was after creating the Mad Car thing, I first selected the surface through the Madcar settings and then went through and proceeded to rig the car. Try that out and see what happens.
Also I had a question. I rendered out the animation of the car. I rendered it as a quicktime file but for some reason, when I playback the quicktime movie, the animation appears to be faster than normal. Any ideas? I’ve never had that happen before when I animated something.
i can’t load the madcat plugin, can anyone tell me what is the problem? I have 3ds max 8, it works well but can’t load madcar
max says : " failed initialize, the specified procedure could not be found"

Did you use the specific version for max 2009? Because there are several versions.
actually I don’t know what version i use but i think it’s a specific version. how could i find the version of my max? thanks
I meant the specific verison of madcar. Make sure you’re using the version specifically for max 2009:

oh man sorry, i could’n understood what you were talking about, i know that i have 32 bit max and i put an appropriate file to my plugins folder, but maybe i didn’t place it there where it has to be? thanks …
is there a tutorial out there that can explain how to attach the skeleton to the car? And than how to use the controls? I have the car, and now how do I apply to MadCar to the car I have? So confusing lol Sorry guys.
You have to assign a MadCar controller to your car parts, just read the docs:

I have a question… howcome carsize / distance between the front and rear wheels change when you change the mass on front and back ?!

Oh and can someone please tell me how I reset the madcar plugin ? when i attach a wheel to my madcar dummy it scales itself 1000% and the only reason i can think of is that i worked with the madcar in another scene with different scale earlier.
I fixed the scale issue by resetting xform on my objects.
But i have new problem, for some reason madcar plugin wont let me realtime drive in my new scene?! any reason why this happens ? it doesnt start to run frames… something with size of ground or ??!
How can you otherwise control the car… spline isnt working right?
Yeah, just upgraded to 2010, would love to have MadCar for it.
