This is my first post in CG Talk, and was wondering if anyone could help me with a character rigging problem that has haunted me for aaaaaaages!
Im a lightwave user, and i need to rig a relatively low poly character for use ingame(around 3500 polys)… but the engine doesnt handle morph targets…only bones and weightmaps.
It isnt a problem to set up a rig using bones and weightmaps, until i get to the shoulder area of the model…then… Aaaaaaargh! all sorts of horrible creases when the arm is rotated.:sad:
Can anyone help me with rigging a low poly model using only bones and weightmaps in lightwave to get good shoulder deformation?
