Lossless AVI render glitch

#1

Hi, I’m having a render problem that just occurred since I had some computer maintenance done. The guy that did it doesn’t know what it could be that is causing AE to act up. Basicly when I render using the default “lossless AVI” format, I get a terrible flicker on the video, and it even adds frames from other comps, even ones that aren’t currently open.

I even started a new project, fresh comp, added a blue solid, and rendered it out, and still, frames from other comps drop into the final video. Here is a quick blip of it here (it’s fast but you can see it should just be a blue layer rendered , but at the end other frames are there):

I have tried my best to solve this. What I have learned so far is:

  • It does not glitch if I use .tif sequence or other formats, only the lossless AVI does it
  • I have reinstalled AE and it still happens
  • I updated my video driver
_ I ran an adobe update
  • I tried “purge all” and “disk cache” from preferences menu

I’m baffled, if you have any ideas please help. Thank you.

I’d test your RAM if I were you.
Memtest is the last app I used to do this but there may be better ones.

I reinstalled AE and it gave me an error window on launch which I think is related. Any idea on how to fix this?

You have at least one output module template that refers to a missing plug-in. Please check your Output Module Template
