I’ve been trying to figure out this problem for some time now (intermittently, I admit).
What I want to do is to create a re-usable nodal setup that creates the effect of a forcefield that has an object interacting with it. The problem I have is that I cannot do this with the Node Editor as it stands.
I’ve tried with the item info node using both local and world position and the various direction vectors, as well as using the normal vectors, object spots and so on. Unfortunately, I am unable to find a combination that works.
Whether this is due to my lack of skill/brain power or a limitation of the software itself, I cannot be sure.
The idea I had was to try and obtain the info relating to the distance from one object’s normals and apply that information to the other object’s surface nodes.
Does anyone have any ideas?
