Looking for concept artists+

#1

Synapse Games is looking for concept artists as well as advanced game modelers/animators and people experienced in the Irrlicht Engine. We are just starting out and are looking for a lot of people willing to give it their all to ensure this project DOES NOT FAIL. Our lead developer has 13+ years in C++ alone and is confident he can create the game almost entirely by himself. We also have a few members who are limited in their knowledge of how to develope a game which is why we are also looking for people to help boost our already small team. The storyline is rather creative and will be released on the site by the end of this Friday. The game is a first person shooter with gameplay styles simliar to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun/Tribes 2. Think starcraft ghost here but in a different story and setting. We are dead serious about this and we want YOU to help make it happen.

http://www.SynapseGames.com <<< apply at our site’s forums which is bigger than whats showen to reg. member.

Assumming the quality of the game is to be that or better the detail & look feel of current games, and it’s not simply a “mod”.

You cant program a game with 1 man, not without a few spare years. Just finished a student project and even though we used middleware & more than one of the 7 programmers knew programming really well & had been doing it for years we still cut a tonne of features because we couldn’t get the man hours ( read = time ) to add them. With most of the programmers doing 48+ hours a week over 6 months we still only had a demo. If we had lost one of the programmers, one key feature (physics/rendering/AI) from the game wouldn’t have got done basically screwing the project.

IMHO a programmer who proclaims “he could code it himself” is biting off more than he can chew.

If he’s coding tetris, yeah sure 1 man, if he’s coding game of today’s standards, he best have a team working with him.
