Looking for a texture and Max material artist for a small project.

Here’s the story. A month or so ago I suffered a bad case of the HD crash flu that seems to be making the rounds. Sad to say that all the new stuff I was working on was lost which was not that bad as most where proof of concept type stuff. How ever there where a few pieces that I wanted to keep which I had backed up assets and renders for from which I could recreate the lost files.

Well the last one recreated was my first lip sync using clusters and after I got it all back together I decided to toss in some photometric lighting. I was so impressed by the difference that I’ve decided to give it a bit more polish, clean up some of the popping in the animation and retexture for a more photo realistic image.

Thing is photo realistic is a skill on to its own and a area that I’m weak in and what ever I come up with won’t do the character justice and I figure that this might be an opportunity for someone else who does have these skills to have a nice item for their demo reel.

Bottom line I’m looking for someone that can texture old jack better than I could how ever I would really like him to be as PR as possible and someone with mapping skills is desired, sub-surface scattering skills a huge bonus. If you can do this or know someone that might be interested in helping out I would love to hook up. I’ll supply the necessary raw materials and all the maps I have as a starting point. There is no time limit, or limitations as to map size (be reasonable though) but for the moment I am limited to Max 5, which should not be a problem dealing with textures but kind of eliminates the sub scattering capabilities of Max6

To show progression here is the first version

And with photometric lighting

In exchange I’ll re-render and supply both the original uncompressed video along with a compressed version in the codec of their choice.

If interested please email me at fvan(remove for spam)@shaw.ca. and included a web link to examples of your work if possible.
