Logitech mouse trouble R21

Hi,

Ever since upgrading to R21, I’m finding there are issues with Logitech wireless mice.

Background:
In R20, the programmable side buttons could, for example, be assigned to navigating the viewport (rotate, move, scale) and more… I’m using the M720 and its been wonderful in R20.

In R21 however, it is impossible via the customize manager.
Is anyone else experiencing the same kind of issue? What could be so fundamentally different in how R21 interacts with wireless mice compared to R20?

Any input appreciated.

I use the Logitech MX Master in the office and at home and have no problems at all. I am not aware of any change sin 21 that could lead to mouse trouble.

I’ve posted quite a bit in a previous thread (below) about issues I was experiencing with not being able to use the default navigation keys with my Wacom… Maxon support notified me that they were able to recreate the issue and that there was a bug or something… Check my previous thread, but I’m sure Wilfred told me that there had been changes to the way R21 receives commands… Srek, ask Wilfred. I’m still waiting for a fix for this, last time I was in touch with someone at Maxon they mentioned it might come with the next service pack… Been really annoyed by this 'cos I haven’t been able to use R21…

R21 First Impressions

Not sure whether anyone else has noticed or experienced this, but whenever I drag out a rectangle selection, either in the 3D viewport, timeline, material manager, there’s quite a noticeable lag before the rectangle begins to draw. I just thought this was strange a) because I’ve never really experienced this in previous versions and b) because I was under the impression there were big improvements to the UI speed… Anyone else getting this, or is it just me as always?

If Wilfried knows all is good. I have no idea when the fix comes, but that is due to me not beeing involved in QA for some years now.
