I used modo in this Review, I hope its helpful to the Cgtalk-Modo community. I didn’t want to say this in the review, but I definately had the advantage over Taron in this DVD using modo. The Element drag tools we have in modo just make modeling so much easier and logical then the drag points in LW.

This DVD is extremely helpful for a modo user who wants to model just about anything from a car, character or building etc. The luxology tutorials thus far have not even approached what’s discussd in this DVD.

Thanks Crossbones!
That’s helpful to know that Modo users can benefit from this training.

yes…i agree modo is better…but were you faster than taron…???
since you and i have both seen him model a head…in an amazing amount of time.

When taron has to drag points to shape a region, we have element drag (meaning we can cycle between edge, point, or faces). We also have pressure sensitive sculpting tools in modo, where lightwave doesn’t. We also have a quicker way to drop tools and switch to others.

On the viewport side, We can spin our model turn table with a click of a button where he has to rotate constantly(we also can toggle the perspective distortion with a hotkey). My wires in wireframe shade were able to have an opacity (he has to toggle it either on or off) I was able to model the same subject in half the time using Modo with his techniques
