Lighting Challenge #21: The Bedroom

#101

As I already said Im in too and here´s my first try on the glorious morning theme!
Thanks for setting up the scene and challenge and the efford of all the people here.
If someone is interested in, I use 3dsMax 2009 and Vray till now. Just tried to get a sunny mood with the light and started to shade some of the objects. Hope i find more time this week to continue. greetz

Hello,
Gr8 work everyone…This is the first time i am going to take part in challenge…i am planning on doing “Romantic Sunset” lighting…lets hope i will do well…can anyone tell me how to upload image in thread…Thank you.

#111

needs lot of tweaks in my stuff …

@drmaya…i like ur stuff… i felt it wud be more interesting if u could do something on the window. like window cracks or blood stains on that aswell, thus emphasizing that something serious has happened in the scene… :slight_smile: :slight_smile:
@alavans. good start

#112

Yes my first render!

6 minutes rendertime on a MacPro 8 core. Prepass took 5 minutes :slight_smile: .
I used Cinema4D R11, a 3 bounce GI pass with linear workflow. Only 1 light in the scene (sun) and 1 HDR sky for indirect illumination. Next challenge is to make it just as nice WITH the blinds in! The blinds make the scene very dark so I’ll have to start actually lighting lol!

I did some post DOF and minor color grade to make it a bit less blue, added some glows, noise and flares.

Good luck everyone! :buttrock:

OK Ive had a bit of a chance to do some textureing… coffee stain and sheets on the bed. Here is my latest WIP. It was rendered at HD rez in about 10 minutes. Im also posting some pics of my lighting setup. (Ive removed the wall so you can see more clearly.)

Let me know what you think!
