Light Saber Effect...

Hello,

Does anyone happen to know of a good tutorial on how to do a light saber effect in Combustion? I’m a newbie to Combustion and haven’t been able to figure it out.

  1. Rotoscoping. Just shoot your subject with a fake lightsaber (something like a flashlight with a stick coming out of it for example) then in combustion paint over the stick frame by frame and add some glows, play around with transfer modes and you are done.

  2. Tracking a particle emitter. Check the tutorials that ship with combustion, there is a good one in there about tracking particle emitters.
