Hi,
Are you currently in school? If so, see if your school offers basic drawing courses or life drawing courses. They will teach you tips and techniques for drawing still-life and human anatomy; if there is an art studio or art guild in your town, see if they offer classes. You can also pick up a Figure/Gesture drawing book (my personal favorite is The Artist’s Complete Guide to Figure Drawing by Anthony Ryder) or search for video tutorials online. Websites such as Lynda.com offer online video courses (pre-recorded, not live) on a wide variety of digital arts, which may be worth your while (paid membership is required for some video courses).
The biggest piece of advice is to just keep practicing. Drawing is a learnt skill- the more you practice, the more muscle memory you will create, making it easier as you go.
Is there a specific area of drawing that you are having trouble with (such as the human body or face) or do you just want to strengthen your skills overall?
I am fairly new to this site, but it seems you can build a portfolio here on CGSociety and i’m sure people can help critique your progress as you go!
