The first assignment on timing and spacing and they give you a walk cycle plus a quadruped? Thats brutal. I’m not a Classical Animator, so my usage of certain terms maybe off.

A frame counter will be very beneficial so I can pinpoint the drawings you need to tweak.
There are quite a few things wrong with your walk cycle. You are trying to animate a 12 frame walk cycle on twos, it will be confusing, because the typical up and down positions will fall somewhere between your drawings. On the third step, the COG remains locked in place from contact to the down position.

As for the kick, the spacing is quite even. you should try to ease out from your antic and start easing in from your kick after you contact the dog. Plus the dog should be shown compressing against the toe, you kinda missed the dog entirely in your extreme drawing.

See my screwed up diagram (green is yours, red is my suggestion)

Sorry for the WOT, I hope that this is somewhat helpful.

Thanks, I’ll make the changes to the kick.
