keyframing multiple layers in after effects?

#1

I have a scene with various render passes on seperate layers in after effects and was wondering if there was a way to keyframe effects using the time vary stopwatch but do it for all the layers in my scene and not just the 1 layer? for example i want a gaussian blur to start and end at the same point in each frame will i have to go and do them all manualy or is there a method to key the blur in every frame at once?

Thanks,
Martin

I wrote a stupidly long answer then realised you can probably just use an adjustment layer on the top of your comp. Stick it as layer 1 and blur away. Should work if you’re just layering a few things up.
If it’s a complicated comp with things above and below the bits to be blurred I would pre-compose the layers into a new comp and blur that.
