Keyframe interpolation with timeremapping

#1

Hi i have a clip with quite a few keyframed attributes on it. Now i would like to time-remap the whole thing but I’m not sure if i could just right-click->time-> enable time remapping without degrading the animation, if you know what i mean.
Is this a acceptable way to go about this and still not loose any “frame rate” on the key-framed attributes or must i go into each individual attribute channel and manually reposition the keyframes?

It’s always better to go in and re-time the attributes in the native comp.

However if you are pressed for time - then time-remapping can work in certain situations. You just need to be conscientious of the time span for each attribute or segment (i.e. it’s better to time-remap down rather than up).

If the segments that you’re time-remapping are short 1-2 second attributes and you want then lengthened then go into the comp and re-do your keys (it will look better and you’ll not want to tear your hair out), if they are lengthy and you need to shorten them then time-remapping should work out, but be aware that everything speeds up etc.

Thanks sustv, the thing was that the animation was a bit longer ('bout 10 secs) that i wanted to stretch further.
Lazy as i am i did a simple test with an animated solid and found out you could indeed stretch the animation and the interåppolation would stay in tact. I probably should have tried this before coming here asking you guys. But thats me, submit first think later.
Thanks all the same though
