jewelry rig


Hey guys !
For a jewelry project we are making in my studio, we are struggling to find the best way to rigg complex jewelry pieces like necklaces and earings! We want to be able to move the jewelry and have the dangly trails have slight interia / dynamics , but without siming on the complex geometry
As anyone ever rigged this kind of pieces in C4D ?

I don’t know C4d, but in 3ds max there’s a spring controller, which simulates inertia, based on movement. I think your program should have something similar.
For rigging, if it has few joints, I would use FK setup, And if you need lots of bones, maybe SplineIK solver would be more suitable. Check which solvers are available in your software, and how they work.
