I've lost the ability to edit individual points in vector masks!

For some reason, I noticed today that I can no longer move single points when selecting a shape in a vector mask.

Usually I can select the vector mask, and then use the “direct selection tool” (white arrow) to move either the position of a point, or to change its curve handles. NOW when I try it, I can only move the position if the entire vector shape, despite clearly seeing the position of the points.

This is quite frustrating, because my ability to do this is very important for my current project, so I hope (and am guessing) that it’s something really simple to fix!

sounds strange. it’s really hard to help in this situation since…well, i’m not seeing what’s going on but…

…first of all you should probably reset your “direct selection tool”

If you click and drag a rectangle around the one node you want to move that might select it then you can move it. Try also holding shift and clicking on it.
