This actually looks pretty decent. Grabbing a copy now. Should be good for doodling and stuff when I’m not at home or work.

#3

Grabbed a copy too. I can see this as the 3d equivalent of sketching on the ipod. Works well and is quite intuitive.
Just need the import export for windows, which is apparently coming.

I know its the first version, but selecting edges and extruding them with vertices too, would be a nice addition. Without cluttering too much the interface (tricky).

Anyway, great work. (must be nice on the ipad)

#4

nice !

what about Android os version ?

#5

This looks like an iPhone app that’s compatible with the iPad but doesn’t offer a real iPad sized app? Anyone know if that’s correct? Looks that way from the iTunes store description.

#6

Yes, it works on the iPad, but doesn’t offer a real iPad sized app. But… we are currently working on that!

Thanks everyone for the feedback, it is very much appreciated. Feature requests, comments, and reviews are all welcome.

#7

This looks interesting, grabbing my copy as we speak. Great to see a local company creating such great products…congrats to everyone involved!

#8

This is pretty cool but I don’t see much use for it. I can model something literally 100 times faster on a laptop. iPhone is not meant to be used for that kind of work.

#9

Thanks Dave, good to hear from a neighbor!

Hey Dennik, thanks for the comment. iSculptor isn’t meant to replace tools like Maya, Max or <place favorite 3d app here>. It’s meant to be a portable modeler that can be used in places where you find yourself twiddling your thumbs and wishing you had access to any kind of modeler! Just think of the times waiting in line or riding the bus. You know… places where you find yourself without a laptop, but only with your iTouch or iPhone…

#10

Hey if you take it that lightly then yes it should be fun!

#11

Thanks for coming out with this. I’ve been hoping someone would. I’ll check it out.

#12

Please please please make this for iphone version 2.2.1 and any other old version. I hit buy and it said i need 3.2, and i don’t want to upgrade it.

Could you please look into this?

#13

Looks cool.

Cant wait for the Ipad version.

#14

Hi lostpencil,

One thing I’m noticing this so far is that the scaling is way too slow. It takes several swipes just to get a polygon to half it’s current size. Perhaps there can be some kind of control that lets you switch between faster adjustments and more fine-tuned ones.

Sculpting on an mobile device???

Quite the right time to open a “Hardcore Sculpting on mobile devices” thread - can’t wait to see all those well done sculpted potatoes.

The kids will love it…

#16

Hey Michael,

In regard to scaling, yes, it can be a bit slow to scale up/down. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll tweak those settings or provide a sensitivity property. In the interim you can convert the poly to vertices and scale those… they scale faster.

I searched many times for a 3d modeling app for my iphone, and was disappointed when i saw there is none…

great work!
i’ve just purchased this app at appstore, and it looks really cool…

#18

This is actually pretty fun. Great way to start lowpoly models for later refinement in zb or mud

Please release to ipad as well where there is more screenspace and power

Cheers!

#19

Hey Isaac, glad you like it! I’m working on the iPad version as we speak. Maybe I should make a post in the general news section so it is more visible. Would that be considered spamming?

iSculptorHD is now available specifically for the iPad! For more information please see our support page.

Cheers,
