Is there a way to import a PC2 of an OBJ in blender 2.56?

So that’s the question, i though there was some kind of mesh cache, but i’m not able to find it anywhere.

Is there a way to import that?

Cheers.

This might not work in 2.5x, but if not just import into 2.4x then append to your 2.5x file.

I’m trying to establish a solid interop workflow.

having to pass through 2.49 should not be considered, it should be directly to 2.5.

Isn’t there any other option?

Cheers and thanks for the sugestin LetterRip

I Think 't was Ivo Grigull who developed a modifier for “anisculpt” that dealt with .pc2 files, not sure off the top of my mind though as to whether it only exported or also might have imported .pc2 - one thing though, it’s not in trunk so you probably have to build your own blender, or find someone to do so for you.

ah yes, here we go, it does read the format:

It is a modifier that reads mdd and pc2 meshcache format files.

Thanks FKTT!

That is exactly what i need, if i can include this in my build and it works then I’ll have the perfect build for interoperability between 3ds max and Blender! this is completely awesome!

Thanks again!

Cheers.

What ever happened to this? If I remember correctly, Anisculpt was 2.49 also. :frowning:
