is the Camera IMBlur useless?

Just did some tests and couldn’t notice any diference there. Working with lines on viewport it works fine but not in the render.

Haha it’s uses are minimal now since vray has fixed its particle motion blur issues. But it does work. You can multiply the amount of blur by the camera movement while leaving the original particle velocity intact. Also great to see the correct velocity in the viewport when you’ve got a animated camera flying around.

“The Camera IMBlur operator is intended for use when rendering a particle system with motion blur as viewed from an animated camera. It corrects a problem in which Image Motion Blur doesn’t take camera motion into account when rendering a particle system. The operator adjusts the particle speed, accounting for camera motion, before it’s passed to the viewport display and/or the renderer.” -Orbaz

Ok, so it’s not useless. Good to know, thank’s Nickolay.
