Is it profitable for a 3ds max user to watch maya tutorials to learn 3D modeling?

I am a new bie to 3D modeling and watching modeling tutorials to learn. I am using 3ds max so I watch tutorials that made for 3ds max.

I got a very good modeling tutorial from 3dnice . it is mad max like car modeling tutoial and a weapon modeling tutorial created for maya 2016. The reviews suggest that it is very good modeling tutorial and a must watch. it is 16hrs in length .

the link is :: http://www.3dnice.net/game_vehicle_dev.html
http://www.3dnice.net/game_weapon_dev.html

Now my problem is, since I using 3ds max , can I learn from those tutorials made for another 3D modeling software (particularly Maya ) . ?

yes tutorials are working for every 3D app…
maybe there are some unique ways to do something but there is always a solution in the other app…

it happened more than once to me that watching a tutorial of max i learned something great in maya…
a new way of thinking how to use maya tools…

modeling is modeling. buttons change and whatnot but if you learn to build a mesh it doesn’t matter which program its in. zbrush changes a bit though.
