Is it a bug and error from maya side ?!

#1

hi guys - iam using maya classic legacy render layer , so for example i have a car and i have a ground plane so i make two seperate layers for each one in render layer - first layer is the car Ao and secound layer is the ground plane Ao so for first one i need the effect of ground but i dont need to see it so i have to do it primary visiblity off and for secound layer i need the effect of car but i dont need the car to be vissible so do the primary visibility off for car in this layer . but the problem is the maya dont save the settings (as a seperate settings) for each seperate layer! - it means when i do all this stuffs in car layer and then i select the ground plane layer and i going to attribute spread sheet and i do the changes for this layer in there, all the thing changing for first layer (car layer) also ! and again if i go to car layer and do the changes , it will change all the settings for ground plane layer also !!!
so in that way i never can not do the primary visiblity off for the ground in the car layer becuse if i change the attribute spread sheet , primary visiblity section in on mode for ground layer and off for car (in ground layer) then for first layre which was car layer the car will be primary visiblity off ! but it should be on not off in it own layer !
what can i do ?!

you need to create an override (right click on the parameter)
(also use the new render setup, it’s way batter and easier to manage stuff)
