Awesome, thanks for that. I just recently started playing with animation in LW and this will help. Much appreciated.

Hey William,

Thanks for showing off my rig. It was a lot of fun to make.

When creating a rig for someone else to animate, whether its a jet plane or a character, my main goal is to make it easy to use. Some rigs can get pretty complex, but I don’t want the controls for that rig to be confusing. One of the ways to cut that confusion is to automate some of the things that the rig can do.

The biggest problem with automating the rig is that the animator isn’t in control of some of the movement. This could cause some tension, since the automations may not be how the animator wants them.

Cyclist is a great solution to that problem. After partially assembling the rig, I hand it over to the animator so he can set up the motions. Once he is done, I can finish the rig by creating cyclist controls for those motions.

I’ve been trying to get on the ftp site for weeks, since I saw the link on Flay. Why can’t I get on there?

I get: “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading”
