Interior Lighting newbie- help

Hey everyone

Real newbie here in lighting. I’m working on the beginning of a portfolio and would like to start working on lighting an interior scene. I’m having a difficult time finding tutorials that focus specifically on interior lighting. I’m using C4D R12.

First - anyone can point to some good tutorials (C4D specific would be even better) that could take me by the hand and help me develop some good interior lighting skills?

Second - this is the image I’ll be working on. Could use some guidance…

Just to clarify - the above image is not yet lit or textured, and the textures are there only to give me some idea of the potential color palette.

As I said, all I’m looking for are tutorials for interior lighting - especially if they are C4D specific.

Any help?

Also, if the above needs tweaking/ changing before texturing and lighting, please feel free to offer crit.
