Integration between 3D geometry and 3D footage

#1

Hello everyone!

I am about to create an interactive installation where I need to blend footage from a 3D camera within a 3D room.

The output would be running on a game, with 3D glasses and NO parallax.

First, I have thought of filming with some wide/fish-eye lens, so I could somehow place the matted texture in a foreground sphere next the camera, so, while user would move the camera, it would move accordingly.

However, so far I couldn’t match the natural distortion of the camera view in 3D software, while rotating, to the fisheye recorded texture, so the matte would not get in place.

Maybe I wasn’t able to texture the sphere correctly.

I would like to ask for some suggestions please
In case I couldn’t be clear enough please let me know!

Thanks in advance,

bontempos~

No it is not clear. It seems wiser to
undistort- integrate 3d object- redistort.
That way you avoid some scale and/or distance
measurements and issues.
