Hallo!
I was wondering if anyone knew any kind of galleries that inspirate you guys/gals to draw? For example, some galleries with women with many kind of clothes and poses, scenic galleries, etc…
I tried finding some in google and altavista and found some, not much to mention.
I’d appreciate if you could give some of yours!
P.s. I mean photo galleries, not art galleries.

I cut up magazines and newspapers, personally.
If I see something interesting, be it interior design, fashion, hair styles, vehicles, locale, colour combinations, font type… whatever happens to spark my interest; I’ll stick it all into notebooks and sometimes make a comment as to why I put it in there.
I don’t know of any online scrapbooks of varying material, sorry.
Just pull a couple of magazines off of the newsagent shelf for whatever you need/want to look in to, buy them, and make your own scrapbooks of inspirational material. :shrug:
I find stepping outside helps.

(And i’ve gotta add… for inspiration and reference you just can’t beat the internet. As a concept artist, i don’t have time to search through magazines for reference, so i just do google image searches and see what sites i find. You can find anything… yesterday, for instance i found tons of good quality reference for geraniums, owls and 17th century footwear!)

Site with photo references on varios subjects … I believe you have to be registered to view them fullscreen but even if you are not registered its good for inspiration
Hmm there are some sites with really hirez photos (politicians portraits mostly). It may be good for some studys or for texturing purpose

But as was already pointed out … its usualy best to use something like google. I usualy use
Google.com, yahoo.com, altavista.com or Alltheweb.com
Its good to try also others portals then google. It may bring you some different results.

generally www.nationalgeographic.com is also a lot of fun. They have sorted photoalbums too. I think the topics that fascinate you should all have some reference on the web so that would work right?

all royalty free, and there are some freaken gems in there. ive made some killer textures with the photos in there, but some photos are simply nice photos.
