(Thanks Meaty for the sweet hosting!)

The movie file contains all of the shots from the story board that involve live action characters.

Please excuse my acting!

Note, We forgot do dub our voices for the Rock-Paper-Scissors part. We will do it later and post.
Enjoy!

nice work! I’m shooting the brute this weekend, now I know what I have to beat, totally kidding  yeah the green screen adds a bit of work, I’m shooting on location, with possible set extensions.
I love that you guys did all this, it’s going to be so fun to see how these all turn out. What are your plans for the fx? Think you can do the whole thing in less than 2 months, or are you going to just take some of the shots all the way to completion?

I’m already thinking add a month of time, it’s going to be a lot of work for every team, you know we all bit off a little more than we can chew, its in our nature.

Great work guys, on a technical note, the fx on the hands is going to be hard because you move them a lot, you might want to re-shoot that with still hands. Like the story board but just say the line. You’ll have a tuff time tracking that kind of motion in 3d, if you want to use fluids for the fx they don’t look good when moving fast though space… just a thought. Otherwise, good luck, I’m excited to see what you guys can do!

In addition to what destruct said, there’s camera movement in shots 2-4, but there’s nothing to track those motions on the key screens .

#6

Wow! Shoot!
You’re right!

I’m sorry guys!
well, I guess it’s back to the good old days of hand tracking. At least there’s not much movement eh? maybe if you have a good tracker it will pick up the stuff on the ground and the differences between the greens. Sorry, I really should have thought about setting tracking points.

Hmm, I want to do this challenge, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it between freelance jobs and other stuff.

anyway SSJAaron and I shot footage for our own entry, but on all of the green screen footage we had a filter on which made it really dark and almost unuseable.
It was sweet footage too, we were hangin from the ceiling in harnesses in front of the green screen with the leaf blower goin’! (fly baby, FLY!)
Oh well.

Thanks guys!

LOL that was a fun day! here is a test I did with our footage. check it!

oh ya we are so sorry we forgot about tracking point! oops. I am sure you guys can compensate. good luck everyone!

hey this green screen video is great. Can you put marker points (orange or some other color) to the greenscreen. So that i can track the background. And some more move for the camera may create a more realistic look

Hey! I’m glad you enjoy the footage! sadly, I am leaving on a trip to Wales in the morning, and will not be able to do much to the video for a while. I was thinking about the tracking points, and short of re-shooting it, I was thinking that maybe I could track some digital X’s onto the wall with after effects. I don’t know if that would help your tracking software, but mabe! as the motion is only of the type Pan/Tilt/Zoom, and not free motion.

Sorry about the time! but I will be gone! :frowning:

About the camera moves: again, short of re-shooting, you could take the footage into after effects (if you have it) and ad some digital camera movements and motion blur and that could help a lot.

Sorry about the camera moves that are in there at all. All of the shots were supposed to be static so as to provide an easy comp situation. But somehow the camera moves slipped past us. Or maybe the camera man didn’t know they were supposed to be static. But in any case, the moves are there.

Thanks again for all of your comments, I really appreciate it!

My advice is that if you cant do a sequnce, then concentrate in doing a single shot.

Either way, have fun on your trip.
