Greetings. I am Justin Smith, the lead developer at Trillæm Productions, an indie game development group.
With over 2 hours of BGM music year-to-date, concept art a’plenty, a nearly finished from-scratch OpenGL, OpenAL, and Winsock framework, and an almost full staff, we just have a few positions left that we need to fill before we can set aside recruiting and go bury ourselves in work.
Sanctus Legacy Online has been in production for about 8 months now, and our team has grown slowly from just a musician, a modeler, and myself: a programmer, to a team of about 15 very dedicated and ambitious members. Most of us are college students, looking to do something useful and resourceful with our free time, and possibly even have a nice addition to our portfolios straight out of college. While our primary goal is not commercial, we may attempt to market the game upon completion, if it meets certain standards.
Anyway, moving on: we’re looking for people who would be willing to fill the following positions:
Architectural Concept Artist:
You will be responsible for taking written descriptions of cities, towns, or even specific buildings, and drawing concept art for the buildings and other man-made structures in that environment. Each piece of concept art would need to be drawn from three perspectives: front, side, and back. Concept art would not need to be colored, but some indication or labelling of the colors/textures would be nice.
You will be working with our two architectural modelers, Juho and Nebo. They both work very quickly and are very capable of making adjustments on the fly.
Human Character Modeler:
You will be responsible for creating human models from concept art by our human concept artist, Surya. You will be given at least three different views of each character, and there is a total of 38 characters (male and female of 19 classes). Models will not be in an anime style, but in a somewhat surrealistic style. For an example of the style, please visit the following links:

The ability to texture your own models would be greatly appreciated, but we are also recruiting texture artists who you may be able to work with. We will have animators you can work with.
Organic Modeler:
You will be responsible for creating static models of organic objects, such as trees and other plants, rocks, and such. You will be working primarily from photo references found on Google Image Search, although there may be a few original concepts which we will have concept art drawn for. The ability to texture your own models would be greatly appreciated, but we are also looking for texture artists you might be able to work with.
Texture Artist[s]:
You will be responsible for creating textures and skins for human characters and their clothing/armor, monsters, architectural structures, and/or organic models such as trees and other plants.
The game is a 2d game, using sprites rendered from 3d objects. Thus, there is no poly-limit on models: the only thing that matters is the final rendered image.
Being an indie project, we cannot offer immediate pay, and will not promise any sort of financial compensation, simply because we aren’t able to make such a promise. However, it is our full intent to reward all of our team members in the event that SLO ever does go commercial.
If you are interested in joining this project, or would like some more information about us, please contact me, Justin Smith, at SanctusLegacyOnline@hotmail.com or JusKSmit@iupui.edu. We do have a temporary website up at http://www.nerthus.co.uk/sanctus/, but because we are working on switching to another server and getting our own domain name, the site will probably not be accessible. You have my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.
I thank you in advance for your interest, and hope to be working with some of you soon!
