Importing new skinned geometry problem

G’day, i have modelled a skeleton in max, linked it to biped and exported it to be merged into motionbuilder. I have successfully been able to characterize my skeleton character to begin animation in motionbuilder.

My problem is that now i wish to have my skeleton character wearing shoes. I have modelled the shoes and applied a skin modifier to them (shoes) in max and linked them to the appropriate bones of my biped. My question is that when i export the shoes and merge them they appear in motionbuilder okay (with correct skinned pivoting) BUT the rest of my skeleton character geometry has now disapeared. Any ideas as to what i am doing wrong here?

did you reexport the entire mesh or just the shoes? just export the file agian and only merge in the geo.

Thanks so much for that workflow tip… I had the very same issue with importing a skinned & animated character into MB from Maya. and your advice worked!
