Importing models! (noob)

#1

I have an old project I started in mudbox a while back and have recently bought ZBrush! I still know very very little about the program and its my understanding that in order to import a model, you import it as a tool and drag it onto the scene in that 2.5D thing that they wont let go of and then convert it to editable mesh blah blah blah but here’s my question (everything Ive already said could well be wrong, I know, haha)

My question is:
I have a scene comprised of several carefully placed objects that was done in maya and mudbox - How do I now import all of these meshes in the same placs they were in, in maya and Mudbox? (my female character is throwing leaves in the air - I dont want to have to import each leaf and re-move them all into position!

Thanks and sorry for my ignorance!

OK so for anyone who’s having the same problem ZBrush, for whatever reason, overwrites your last loaded tool with a newly imported one and therefore, when it comes to appending things after a long session of importing all your meshes, you only see your last imported mesh in the list… to avoid this, you simply select the cube preset polymesh in the tool menu after each import to make THAT, you last selected tool… I can see why ZBrush would make this a feature (to make it easy to replace a mesh if you imported the wrong one) but it would be much more helpful if this just wasnt a feature. I think Ive got that right anyway - feel free to correct me if I am wrong about all this, This is only my seconde day of using it.
