Importing camera

I was curious if anyone can give me some pointers on how to import an animated camera from maya 2008 to vue 7.

Dunno about Maya, but in C4D, you need to install the Vue Sync plugin in the Cinema4D plugin folder. Check your Vue7 manual page 485.
