Import Objetcs With Textures_help!

Hi To All, I Tryed To Import An Object As Obj With Textures From Maya To Vue Extreme Scene, But I Can Only Import The Obj And For The Textures?ther’s A Way To Import The Textures Too?

Do yourself a favor and uninstall vue from your computer and never touch it again. It’s garbage.

Wow, Andyjaggy, this was certainly most helpful! I suppose the problem is solved now thanks to your answer.

mrcf: to import an obj fully textured in Vue, an mtl file must be written by the program you create the obj with. I don’t know how it is done in Maya, but I suppose you do.
The mtl file contains the path to the textures, so if it is not written, Vue (or other programs, btw) can’t know the object is indeed textured.

Sorry. Was having a very rough day and was Extremely frustrated with Vue at the moment. Oh wait… I’m always really frusterated with Vue… :slight_smile:

I’ve been having the same problem exporting from C4d to Vue. How do you get it to create/export an mtl file?
